Friendship

Interaction is what we're here to have. Synergetic exchange is what life is all about. And, we must not forget that Creation started from Solitude, for Solitude was not enough! Did you know that solitary confinement is one of the most severe punishments and some people would rather choose to die than face this punishment which crushes you from within.

So what do you have to do to have a continuous flourishing interaction with someone? You just need to have a great friendship! Having many friendships are welcome but just one deep friendship can bring you all the joys that come along with it.

Now you may ask, how do I go about having a true friendship? A true one, because obviously you've seen or heard about some fake ones!

Well, first and foremost you have to take the first step. You must be willing to expose who you are to someone. Yes, you have to allow others to know you before they can trust you. You need to come out in the open and express your mind and your feelings to someone, and see how the other reciprocates. Are they opening up to you or is something causing them to remain cold and closed towards you? If they remain closed despite every effort to make them comfortable, you must decide to move on, for if you cannot know a person, you cannot proceed to have a friendship with this person.

Knowing a person is the beginning of friendship, the beginning of developing mutual trust in each other. Showing that you stand for your truth and seeing the other either standing along with you or giving it a miss. It doesn't matter if they give a miss to your truth, for your truth is showing your true colours and not hiding them!

When you have told your stories, when you have expressed the principles you stand for, when you have shown your likes and your dislikes, and when all of these have been received with acceptance, it is then that you come to the deepening of friendship. It is then that you start to love your friend, for the friend accepts you as you are. Now, you want to go out of your way to spend time with your friend and you wish to come closer to each other and become like family. Your trust has now turned into love.

When you become like family you like to share your life like family too. You would like to go shopping together and help each other choose what you desire.  You go for movies, dinner and even holidays together and enjoy each others company. Friendship becomes a companionship!

Then comes the difficult part, the test of strength of a friendship.  A friendship is tested when you need your friends help; when you are down and you need your friend to help you with their effort, time or money, to bring you out of the doldrum you are in. A strong friendship is like Corelle dishware, it doesn't break no matter how many times you use it, and a fragile friendship that's just there for show is like fine China lying in a showcase for the fear of breaking it if you use it! So never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. If a friendship has to break, let it be now, for else it wasn't a true friendship. Every friendship blossoms when you use it in time of need and every life goes through a phase where you need help, sometimes even as an emergency! In fact, giving and receiving is the breath of friendship that keeps it alive and healthy!

If the friendship passes the test of strength, you develop faith in your friend. Faith that they will always be by your side in good times as well as in bad times. And, the more faith you develop the stronger your friendship becomes and you become eternally grateful to your friend.

When you express your gratefulness for the help you receive, your friendship matures. It ripens into what it was meant to be, a delicious fruit for existence! The fruit is when you return a favour done to you, with gratitude, in some form or the other. Existence thrives on interaction and existence longs for some form of exchange. So at the first opportunity, say a thank you, send a gift or just celebrate together in the joy of a strong friendship.

And, always remember, Existence is propelled by a loving relationship into an eternal journey of joy!

The Monk Who Bought A Mercedes

The Master was out shopping for his long cherished dream of owning and enjoying a S-Class Mercedes limousine. He took his disciple Tom along with him to the showroom, and as they reached, right in front of them stood the gleaming silver coloured car for the Master. The Master's eyes lit up and his face beamed with a smile as soon as he set his eyes on the car.

The disciple asked the Master, "Aren't Masters meant to renounce life and not have a passion for material things?" The Master asked Tom, "What would you wish to have if you had all the money in the world?" Tom thought for a while and remembered his childhood dream of owning and living in a huge mansion. Excitedly, he told the Master, "I would love to have a palace with huge gardens and many servants attending." The Master then told Tom that the child in us, is the heart in us! A child is born for a purpose and the child knows it's purpose. The childlike heart doesn't know how to calculate, it just wants its dreams to come true. Every child is a Master, for the child doesn't have a notion of scarcity, because a child knows intuitively that there is unconditional support from the father and the mother. So, a child's imagination is boundless and a child's desire to have toys to play with is strong. And, a child plays with toys not to win, but just for a spin!

So, awaken the child within you dear Tom, for only then will you have faith in your Father to support all your dreams so you can play, as I am about to with my new Mercedes. And, when I am fulfilled with this toy, I pray that I will have a desire for another toy so that I am always renewed with the freshness of a new desire and the fulfilment of a new toy!

"What is the next toy that you dream of Master", asked Tom gleefully. The Master replied with a confident smile, "A silver and black Bugatti Veyron. This will be the reward to myself after building the most beautiful as well as the tallest high rise in my country!"

The Master continued to impart his words of wisdom to Tom with a deep voice... Faith makes you a Master. Faith that you are supplied by an unending source; which is also your source, your Father and your comforter! Faith that your dream is also your Father's dream for you. Faith that at every step, even when there is not a single toy to play with, your abundant Father walks hand in hand with you. Faith that when you are hungry and there's no bread, you are sustained by the words that your Father whispers into your heart!

Storms Are Good

In a world of duality there will always be highs and lows; big and small; light and darkness. But, whenever there is a major dis-balance between any two opposites in this polarity, a 'storm' will occur in order to re-balance and restore harmony. A harmony that supports a purposeful and fulfilling sustenance of all life.

Cyclones, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, famine and epidemics occur naturally, as part of a complex and sometimes incomprehensible system, to cause us to rethink on the way we do things and renew the planet.

Man made storms like wars, revolutions, terror attacks and recessions occur either to cause a dis-balance or to re-balance the distribution of power and money in the world, and cause us to think and act in ways to secure ourselves.

Whatever may be the cause of a storm, they force us to become stronger and more intelligent to withstand them. So, rather than remain anxious for our lives, our survival instinct is prodded by the storm to think of ways to overcome these threatening monsters. Humans over many millennia have evolved in many ways, in the face of every kind of storm, by discovering scientific laws and technology to come up with different kinds of solutions like stronger houses, more resistant crops, medicinal sciences to cure ailments, defence equipment, advanced communication systems for warnings, fast transportation systems to move away from threats, continuous ways of improving banking, making systems of governance more people oriented.

In order to withstand these storms we end up with other benefits like building technology that keeps you safe from other threats as well, by-products of defence technology applied to improving life in general, transportation that can bring you help really fast in case of emergencies, communication systems that help you stay connected with loved ones wherever they are, a higher yield from more nutritious crops, healthier ways of living, improvement of business systems, democratic systems trickling down to the grass root level.

In other words, storms are good. But, the most important point that has been missed while using our intelligence in politics, economics, medicine, science and technology is our inter-connectedness to everyone and everything- the human aspect of compassion for our fellow beings. The passion for power and money has to be increasingly balanced by our compassion for our planet and everything upon it.

We basically have to think of a more equal distribution of power and wealth, without losing the passion for improvement. The driving force within us has to be, to see more and more of us, including ourselves, satisfied. When we are able to exhibit the compassion of a mother towards her children, we would have got it! For, her children are her passion and her children have her compassion.

Since 2011, we have been seeing more than the usual natural storms and the storms of anger of dis-satisfied common people forcing Governments to think more compassionately or else be overthrown. Change is here, and these storms are an opportunity for all of us to use compassion as the prime driving force to evolve.

The new order beckons us to have an equal blend between survival and love; power and sharing, and to be stronger, but softer as well.

The new age is seeking an active harmony in all things which sounds like pleasing music and feels like a gentle breeze...

Prayer

O Lord, make my eyes not judge anyone, but see the wholeness of good and bad in everyone.

As my thoughts and actions cause ripples across Your interconnected Creation, may wisdom cause me to think and act with Compassion.

I decide today to be happy and strong, no matter what happens to my song, for the joy and strength within me is the reverbration of Your Divine Gong.

Let Your Grace fall on me like rain, to wash away everything that is causing me pain.

Amen

Peaceful Icelandic Revolution

The people of Iceland have created history over five years starting 2008 and most of us have not heard anything about it. The people of Iceland have shown us a model for peaceful revolution in 'Democratic Dictatorships' that are running freely across the world despite being challenged by their people. The policies of these 'Democratic Dictatorships' are dictated by Capitalists, so no matter which Party is voted to power, the underlying dictator remains the same - The Capitalist! These are Democracies in which the Capitalists also control the media, so no one gets to hear of what goes on behind the corridors of power and, you don't get to hear about a model of peaceful revolution that threatens the way in which these 'Democratic Dictatorships' function. They have an unfortunate motto which is, "The rich and powerful get richer and the common man gets poorer"
Hordur Torfason outside the Icelandic Parliament
It was when such Capitalists, in collusion with the Icelandic Government and Private Banks, caused a collapse of Iceland's economy, that one man woke up to the truth. This man was Hordur Torfason, a singer, an actor and an activist. He decided to wake up the rest of the people in his country too. Hordur sang songs alone, outside the Icelandic Parliament, and as people stopped by, he talked to them about what had happened in their country and asked them for solutions to the problem.

Hordur Torfason had a sound and profound modus operandi:
-Ask people on the streets what they want.
-Hold weekly assemblies at the same time and the same place, so people know, without you informing them, that you are going to be there for discussions to move their cause forward.
-Come to a consensus about the people's "immediate" demands, so that, the demands are critical to the cause, few and therefore easier to achieve.
-Connect with more and more people to spread your cause through different new age media like facebook, mobile phones and emails.
-Ask people who support the cause to wear an Orange colour dress everyday so that their support is visible everywhere.
-Stand outside Parliament at lunch hour when the Members of Parliament come out of it, and can see your numbers, because it's numbers that matter to them.

-Enhance the effect by making a noise with your kitchen pots and pans (Because of this, the Icelandic Revolution is popularly known as the Kitchenware Revolution).

Here is a summary of the amazing happenings in Iceland from 2008 to 2012:

2008- There is a financial crisis and the main bank of the country is nationalised by the government. The Krona, the currency of Iceland is devalued and the stock market comes to a halt. The country is in bankruptcy. There are sporadic protests from October 2008 against the Icelandic government's handling of the financial crisis, organised and galvanised by Hordur Torfason.

2009- The citizens intensify protests in front of the Parliament, banging their pots and pans brought from their kitchens to have a big effect and they cause the resignation of the Prime Minister and his whole government. Elections are held and a new left-wing government is formed in late April 2009. It is supportive of the protesters, and initiates a reform process that includes the judicial prosecution of the former Prime Minister, Geir Haarde.
The country is still in a bad economic situation. And yet, a law proposes paying back debts to Great Britain and Holland created by Private Banks, through the payment of 3,500 million euros, which will be paid by the people of Iceland monthly during the next 15 years, with a 5.5% interest rate.

2010- The people go out into the streets again and demand a referendum for repeal of this repayment law. In January 2010, the President repeals the law and announces a popular assembly called National Forum 2010 to find a democratic way forward. In March 2010, a referendum for the denial of payment is voted in by 93%. Meanwhile, the government has initiated an investigation to bring to justice those responsible for the crisis, and many high level executives and bankers are arrested.
The National Forum 2010 recommends a Constitution Council to be elected to rewrite the Constitution which can include the lessons learned from this crisis. For candidacy all that is needed is to be an adult and have the support of 30 people. 25 citizens out of the 522 candidates who stand for election are elected to this Council. The elected members include professors, lawyers, doctors, media professionals and farmers with no political affiliation.

2011- The Constitutional Council starts in February of 2011 to present the various laws from the recommendations given by the different assemblies happening throughout the country. The draft of the Constitution is presented on 29th July 2011, to the Alþingi, the Icelandic Parliament.

2012- The Parliament, after 10 long months finally agrees in a vote on 24th May 2012, with 35 in favour and 15 against, to organize an advisory referendum, no later than October 20th 2012, on the Constitutional Council’s proposal for a new constitution.
The outcome of the referendum held on 20th October 2012, as announced by the National Electoral Commission, to the questions below is as follows:

-Do you wish the Constitution Council's proposals to form the basis of a new draft Constitution?
Yes, I wish the Constitution Council's proposals to form the basis of a new draft Constitution.
Votes; Proportion
73,408; 64.2 %
No, I do not wish the Constitution Council's proposals to form the basis of a new draft Constitution.
Votes; Proportion
36,252; 31.7 %

-In the new Constitution, do you want natural resources that are not privately owned to be declared national property?
Ans: Votes; Proportion
Yes: 84,633; 74.0 %
No: 17,441; 15.2 %

-Would you like to see a provision in the new Constitution stating that a certain proportion of the electorate is able to demand that issues are put to a referendum?
Ans: Votes; Proportion
Yes: 72,523; 63.4 %
No: 26,402; 23.1 %

The Icelandic people have been able to show that there is a way to beat the system and have given a lesson in Democracy to the world.

Since we have not been informed about this through the mass media paid by Capitalists who suppress information that might undermine their supremacy, you, as a responsible citizen of a democratic country have the duty to share this truth of Democracy with the world!

We are living in a new age which is all about compassion for the common man and compassion for the oppressors of the common man too, so that they may see the path of integrity.

We all know that light exposes, but it also shows the way. So, be a light unto the darkness!!!

Being Successful

1. Creation

If you really need to know something about being successful, then you need to know who you are, why you're here and how you have to accomplish your purpose.

So, let’s start with how it all started. In the beginning there was Nothing because Nothing is the only thing that can exist without a cause. In the beginning all that existed was this Emptiness - The Absolute Zero, which was also everything there ever was. This un-created, ever existing Nothingness was also potentially boundless and Infinite as explained by the Zero-Infinity paradox later.

Because there is nothing outside this Zero and this Zero is all there is, and ever was, therefore, It cannot compare Itself to anything, to know Itself. Furthermore, if this Zero is still, It cannot know Itself from within Itself either, for a still ocean is homogeneous and has nothing within itself to compare itself to. But there is a solution to this predicament. If Nothingness starts to have ripples and waves within Itself, then, It can know Itself by comparing these waves with each other. It now starts to know a high tide and a low tide by feeling the differences between the two.

Since this Nothingness is potentially boundless, It can do anything, provided the sum of what It does is zero. In other words, It has Free Will and Zero Resistance to create anything, though its opposite will also get created simultaneously. As a spontaneous outcome of Its potential, this still ocean of Massless Emptiness started to vibrate with waves and ripples. Vibrations are made up of a wave and a trough, and the sum of a wave and a trough is zero. Beacuse there is Zero Resistance, each vibration develops into uncountable number of waves and troughs.

The Zero-Infinity paradox that makes the Absolute Zero boundless & Infinite:
When an uncountable number of equal and opposites exist, the sum of them tends to zero.
Nothingness is Infinity, and this Zero-Infinity paradox is represented by a simple mathematical equation given below:-
+1 +2 +3……infinity
 -1  -2  -3……infinity
  0   0   0……….0
The Absolute Zero is the mother set of all potential infinities. It is The Infinity that all potential infinities, whether physical, mathematical or transcendent, are moving toward actualising.

Now, a wave is really an energy that moves the water molecules of an ocean up and down, exactly at the position where they are situated, and it doesn't move the water laterally. This, you can easily observe in the ripples produced when you throw a stone into a pond. It is the energy that causes a ripple that moves laterally while lifting up and bringing down the water of a ripple and then transferring itself to the adjacent still water, and thereby, producing another ripple. This process carries on and the energy produces ripples, one by one, sequentially thereby energising Creation. Over eons, with trillions of interactions known as wave interferences, the result is the creation of active multiverses. Since in a ripple, there is now a differentiation of up and down and a movement of energy from here to there, which takes time; so, simultaneously, space and time come into existence.

Now, we have already seen one rule of Creation, that all sums within the Emptiness must remain zero. So, this energy that creates waves, is also accompanied by an equal and opposite potential energy that dissolves waves. Dissolution is built into the system of creation, at the time of Creation. But, the initial vibrations of creation continue till eternity because they happen in a space of Emptiness which has no drag and no friction to stop this cycle. Once it starts, it doesn't stop... So it is only secondary vibrations that ride atop the primary vibrations that will dissolve.

And, all is not lost at the time of dissolution, because the memory of every experience remains intact according to the latest theory of physics that believes -  in principle complete information about a physical system at one point in time must determine its state at any other time, so information is always preserved. So, primary vibrations will always store information about all other vibrations that arise from it.

Now, with the interactions between waves, two opposite gravitational pulls like those of the moon and the earth are created in a universe. What are these two primal opposite pulls that were formed in Creation? The two opposite poles of Creation are, Consciousness and Unconsciousness. Consciousness is perhaps the Spirit World and Unconsciousness is perhaps the Dark Energy of our universe. Everything created that exists, every vibration created in Creation, is but a different level of Consciousness and Unconsciousness.
The fact that Consciousness and Unconsciousness are two opposite poles in Creation is expressed by the fact that while half the earth is awake, the other half sleeps.

You may now ask, "What is love and what is joy in this model of Creation?"
Love is the pull of the pole of Consciousness towards itself. Love must also have its opposite, and this opposite of love is Self-love. Self-love is the pull of the pole of Unconsciousness towards itself which interacts with Love to create a wave, an identity which is different from the still ocean. It is like the opposite pulls of the moon and the earth that create high tides and low tides.
Consciousness is surrounded with Love, which is a field of attraction, and perhaps this Love is Perfect Love, because it is the first Love sensed by Consciousness. But, just as light cannot know itself in a world of light, Love cannot know itself fully in a world of Love. However, a candle in a dark room shows up clearly. So, Consciousness needs Unconsciousness to know its first nature, just as light needs darkness to find its full expression and know itself.

Joy is the energy in the wave that makes the water move up and down sequentially in ripples. Joy is movement, and JOY is really the JOurneY of divine energy in time. And, joy is ever present from the beginning of primary vibrations.

In a nutshell, Creation is the ocean of Emptiness that is getting to actualise Itself through waves in Itself, one wave at a time, and It does it forever and ever and ever….

2. Waves

Waves are vibrations and some vibrations are fine and some are gross. Some are high and some are low. Because vibrations are different, we can identify them and make some sense out of them.
The major Consciousness-Unconsciousness vibrations present in our universe as described by some sages are the following:
  1. Dark Matter is the most unconscious vibration and constitutes about 96% of our universe along with Dark Energy.
  2. Atoms are also vibrations as has been discovered by scientists and this is known as the Wave-Particle Duality. Atoms are gross vibrations, waves with a greater pull of unconsciousness than of consciousness. They make up only 4% of our universe which is classified as visible matter.
  3. Plants have a lesser unconsciousness and higher consciousness than atoms. They can carry out some complex functions like respiration and photosynthesis.
  4. Animals have an even lesser unconsciousness and are more conscious than plants, because of their five sense organs.
  5. Humans have a lesser unconsciousness than animals for they are more conscious about their choices, than animals. Their minds can do complex calculations, contemplate about the evolution of their life and then make highly informed choices.
  6. Spirit is the most conscious of all these vibrations and it is such a high frequency and fine vibration that it is generally not sensed by the human senses, because, it lies outside the range in which they detect vibrations.
The human Soul is a composite set of all these vibrations put together. The whole of you on earth is your Soul which comprises of a Body made of atoms; Life-energy made of complex cells that carry out functions like digestion, respiration, circulation, assimilation and reproduction; Senses made to sense sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touch; A Mind that is advanced in logical thinking and therefore intelligent; And, the Spirit which watches over your mind, feels your highs and lows, and decides about your evolution.

Since, Consciousness, whose nature is Love, cannot know itself completely in a world of Love, just like white light cannot know itself fully in a world of white light, so, an individual piece of Consciousness, a god, a spirit, comes to a world where there is mainly unconsciousness, wrapped in clothes of different levels of unconsciousness which are like prisms that refract light into a particular colour of the rainbow spectrum. This spirit wrapped in these clothes and emitting a particular 'colour' is a Soul that has come to experience that 'colour', and since it is in a world of relative darkness, the 'colours' show up clearly. This is a Soul that has come on a journey of Self-realisation.

Now, once you come to the world of darkness with your own unique 'colour', you can only experience your 'colour' by comparing your 'colour' to the 'colour' of other Souls around you, for if you are 'blue' and everyone else around you is also 'blue' then even the word 'blue' won't exist!

Perfect white is experienced by experiencing all the colours of the spectrum of white light, one by one, and Perfect Love is experienced by experiencing the entire range of Love, from a lack of Love to an abundance of Love, with all it's hues from anger to kindness; sorrow to joy; cursing to blessing; rejection to acceptance; thanklessness to appreciation and so on.

Every time you experience the full range of a particular feeling you come to a place of 'Being that particular feeling'. When you have experienced every kind of sorrow and joy, you can, in every circumstance, Be totally joyful, because, now having gone through all these feelings you can fully appreciate these feelings in others, with maturity and understanding. In your state of joy, you can love others as they are, and when they are stuck, and ask for help, you can help them beneficially, to move on to another experience.

So, in a nutshell. There is Creation. There are the primal poles of Creation - Consciousness and Unconsciousness. There are pieces of Consciousness called spirit or god. Some of these gods come to the world of Unconsciousness, wrapped in parts of Unconsciousness, as unrealised gods, with a free choice to realise or not realise themselves as gods through experiencing different aspects and different levels of Creation.

3. The Human Experience

Creation is designed for you to move through 3 stages:
  1. 'Knowing Perfect Love' in the world of Consciousness, where there is only Love.
  2. 'Experiencing Less Than Perfect Love', by experiencing the components of Perfect Love driven by Self-love, in our universe of Unconsciousness.
  3. 'Being Perfect Love' in the lap of Consciousness, a state of realised godliness, when you finish experiencing all the components of Perfect Love.

What this really means is, you are un-satiated Wholeness that is here to experience Wholeness in parts. Even though Wholeness will be missed, carry on, for you will ultimately end up in a satiated Wholeness.

So, what is Reality and what is illusion?
The only illusion is that the wave doesn't know it's the Whole Ocean.
The Reality is, 'All the illusions put together' plus 'All that which is not an illusion'.

Now let's repeat three important truths we have discussed earlier, so that we can learn some lessons about how to live the human experience beneficially and successfully.
  1. Creation is in a continuous cycle of formation and dissolution.
  2. Everything experienced is a wave moving across time and space.
  3. Each human 'colour' is there for you to experience your own 'colour' completely.

Fact 1: Creation is in a continuous cycle of formation and dissolution.
Lesson 1: If Creation is going to dissolve when it has to, why should humans seek to dissolve their individual waves prematurely? So, the first lesson is, seek to live fully in every sense of the word. Don't seek complete silence and complete stillness. Don't abort your purpose of life and sit on a mountain top, with your eyes closed. Self-realisation is a continuous process and till all your human experiences are finished, carry on living purposefully...

Fact 2; Everything experienced is a wave moving across time and space.
Lesson 1: Let us look at the nature of a wave. It rises, plays for a while, and then recedes. The biggest lesson here is, a wave doesn't resist, doesn't rush and doesn't stop. Remember this, "Enlightened living is when you become as light as a wave!"
Lesson 2: The energy of a wave moves on to the next wave when it falls. To have Constant Joy, and enjoy the energy of the wave in each succeeding moment you have to accept the highs with the lows and not resist any circumstance; not rush towards your goal; and you have to keep moving on, without getting attached to the present, so that you are always available to enjoy the joys of the future.
Lesson 3: Don't wait for the wave to come, for it is already there in the breath that you are taking right now!
Lesson 4: Self-love creates a wave and too much self-love will create too high a wave which will collapse one day. So, don't accumulate too much.
Lesson 5: Love pulls a wave back into the ocean and too much love will make the wave subside into oblivion. So, don't give away everything you have.
Lesson 6: Strike the right balance of self-love and love, for lasting happiness on earth. For this, you need to share the surplus that you have! When you share, you are supplied with more to share, for this keeps the waves of Creation moving.

Fact 3; Each human 'colour' is there for you to experience your own 'colour' completely.
Lesson 1: This requires you to first show your true 'colours', experience your 'colour', experience your Self. Your passions for particular people and other desired things within you, is who you are. Passion is the urge of your Soul to Experience it's longings, and not just imagine them within. Just do it. Jump into your passions without any expectations of returns, for there is a reward. The reward is immediate and the reward is joy. But, experience your passions with compassion to keep a balance of self-love and love, so that you avoid cutting short the experiences of others and yourself on earth. Don't kill yourself or anyone else.
Lesson 2: The magnificence of Perfect Love is only realised after you have experienced every hue of Love, by choosing a higher and higher level of experience, after experiencing a lower one. Choose to evolve, and not devolve or revolve. Choose to become better. If you don't choose to become better and you choose to devolve, then you waste energy of Creation. If you get stuck in a revolution, a habit, then, the evolution of you and portions of Creation around you stops. It is for choosing to evolve against the choice of choosing not to evolve, that you have been given a free will. This is because, when the possibility of not realising Perfect Love exists, that you actually experience it's realisation truly. It is when the possibility of an heir to the throne, not ascending to the throne exists, and then against that odd, you ascend to the throne, it's then that you really realise the glory of ascending to the throne and the glory of the throne. That's when you truly succeed. The one who is ripe to be Perfect Love after many lives of choosing, ascends to the throne as a realised god of a universe, thereby also encouraging more to come to the same realisation.
I say unto thee, "Ye are gods, so don't seek God, seek your Divine purpose."
Lesson 3: Let every 'colour' be there as it is. So, don't attempt to change people, especially your partner, for it is in their differences with you that you realise your Self. The more you interact with people, the better you will know yourself. And, don't cast out people, for that reduces the number of comparisons you can make to better experience your Self. Don't even cast out enemies. Accept them as they are, know them, but don't let them into your house, for that may prematurely end your very precious journey on earth.
Lesson 4: No 'colour' is superior or inferior to another 'colour'. Blue is not superior to Red. So, never be stuck in feelings of superiority or inferiority for that is not what Creation and you are trying to achieve.

4. Getting Up and Learning To Surf The Waves

The gravest mistake is to not get up after you fall. So, where have you really fallen from? You have fallen from the place of choice. Either you have left your choice making to others, because analysing a choice is hard and following others is easy, or you are holding in your mind, and in your heart, so many thoughts and feelings about things gone by, and about things that are yet to happen, that you are losing control of your mind and heart. You are no longer in charge of your decisions and you are no longer making informed and conscious choices, because they can only happen if your mind and heart are available to the present.

In the present moment lies the pang of your heart which emits the light of your soul, the "I am this" or "I am that" which you choose to announce to the world, through your feelings, thoughts, words and actions. It is from the heart that you also choose to be cheerful or grumpy as you go about your work. If you fail to be in your heart, you fail to create your life the way you wish it to be, because, then, you fail to experience the feelings desired by you; you fail to think the thoughts that create a joyous future; you fail to speak the words that set into motion the universe, to accomplish your wish; and you fail to act and take steps in the direction of your goal. When, your boss suddenly sacks you, you say, "Why me? I was attending my office regularly" and you fail to remember that you had started despising your boss not because you had a bad experience with him, but because the majority of your co-workers hated him. So quite simply, and with total integrity, the universe gave you an opportunity to look for a new job, where you have a boss you can look up to.

Now, how do you get back to the place of choice which is really, where you spirit meets your mind in the equator of your heart, so that things start to happen the way you wish them to?
  1. Some immediate techniques to be Here, at the place of choice when you feel out of control are to, take deep breaths; watch your breath go in and out; look at a bird flying in the sky; see trees swaying with the wind; or just walk your dog on a leash. What this does is gets you out of the rush or the resistance you were in, and puts you into the flow of the present moment where you feel a clarity of thought and the feeling of joy. You meet your awareness of spirit here, and you regain command of your choices here.
  2. Let go of all the resistance you have towards your life as it is happening now. Accept the people, the situations and your feelings first. Feelings are a sacred part of your experience and they must not be repressed, but expressed. The way to go is from repression to expression. Repressed feelings result in an accumulation of emotions which dis-balance you if they are not released. Release them, for no words can heal you more than an outburst of emotions. Cry behind closed doors if you have to. Releasing emotions and acceptance makes you calm and you automatically move to the place of choice. Then, the next thing to do is, make a choice and act upon it.
  3. Slow down your life. You cannot be at the place of choice if there's an immediate deadline hanging over your head. You have to organise your life so that it's not a rush. You will have to delegate some stuff and let go of other stuff, so that, you are not pressed for time. Life should flow at the pace of your body and mind, and you are the best person to know what that pace is. Use the 80-20 rule wherein you can identify the top 20% important things that will make you achieve 80% of what you desire.
  4. Whatever thing you are passionate about, spend a lot of time increasing your knowledge about it. More knowledge helps you to make a more informed choice. More knowledge also increases the trust in your passions, so that you can embrace them fully before you set out to fulfil them. When you embrace your passions you are in your heart, you are at the place of choice.
  5. Meditate before you sleep. Meditation is not as difficult as is made out to be. Before I give you a technique, let me tell you what it does. It just increases the space between two thoughts, because there is nothing such as 'no thought', and complete stillness, here on earth. When the spaces between thoughts increase, there is less of habitual thinking and more thoughts coming from the heart. The heart's desires are expressed as thoughts and are usually your first thoughts on a subject. When we meditate we can easily catch these 'first thoughts' because we start to watch what we are thinking. For example, if your friend asks you for a coffee and your first thought is a hesitation, then, you must follow this hesitation and postpone your coffee date for another time. Since your heart knows the future as well, the hesitation was caused because something closer to your heart is due to happen and the coffee date will spoil it.
Now here's a simple meditation before you sleep. Night is a good time because you have wound down for the day. Keep just one lamp on and turn off any humming noise from appliances if you can. Sit straight on your bed. Let your hands face up and let your legs be in a comfortable position because you don't want to focus on discomfort. Close your eyes. Mentally follow your breath going in and then, going out. In your mind you can say 'in' and 'out' and then, when you don't feel like saying it, just follow your breath in and out, with your attention. If some thoughts come in between, let them come and go like you watch passing cars on the road. Just do this every night before you sleep without timing it. Don't ever time it. Do it till you feel like. If you go into bliss, then enjoy it only for a while, because bliss is intoxicating and immobilizing, and you have to live your purpose on earth, not in a state of drunkenness, but with responsibility and integrity.
  6. Sleep at least 8 hrs a night because that will really make your day. Drowsiness, stress and discomfort due to lack of sleep take you away from the place of choice.
  7. Exercise daily and eat intelligently to keep your body, mind and emotions in a balance.

Once you are Here, you have to stay Here. When you are driving, cycling or surfing, you are constantly aware of yourself and your surroundings, for you know if you lose your awareness you may crash. This is how you have to be, constantly aware when you surf life, constantly monitoring your decisions, knowing every feeling, watching every thought, measuring every word, and conscious of every action.

When you get up and start surfing, you will take all situations with ease and balance. You will be in control of what you are being so that the feelings, thoughts, words and actions that follow will be in total harmony with what you are being. If you choose to be happy, you will, feel elated, think humorous things, and then, you will have an uninhibited and full throated laugh, and then again you will Be happy after your laugh. That's when the circle is complete and you can go into a cycle of happiness. You started by choosing to be happy and you ended up laughing, and laughing caused you to Be happy again. You now know how to be in Constant Joy, and just know this too...

Success comes to those who are happy NOW.

Going for Love

Sonia a young enthusiastic girl lived in Bali. She was just 18 when she met Ben who was twenty years older than her. Ben was a happy-go-lucky man with a deep understanding of life. He fast became a friend, philosopher and guide to her and then over the years more than just a friend. They played together and loved each other for seven years in an open relationship. Sonia during this time had met many boys but none seemed suitable enough for the parameters of marriage. Ben had time and again told Sonia that marriage is a contract that may or may not work but she was insistent on having the social license of being married. Her parents then found an appropriate boy Omar who was more her age with a steady and lucrative job in a newspaper in Jakarta. She was married with great fanfare and moved in with her husband.

After their honeymoon was over the marriage became turbulent. Two strangers getting to know each other at close quarters can be like hell because sometimes there is no freedom in the closed quarter of marriage.

Ben had told her before her marriage that it is not marriage that connects you with happiness but that it is love that does it. Follow your love for that is what guides you to a destiny of joy. Love removes pain. Love waters the soul of the universe with joy and that is why the universe supports love at every step.

Sonia remembered that it was Inder a young Indian boy who lived in Bali and was a Radio Jockey at an FM music channel who really cared for her and she too had felt the whiff of that inexplicable magnetic attraction called love for Inder. He had moved from Bali to Jakarta and joined a Radio Station there so that he could remain close to Sonia. In her busy life of trying to settle her home and balance her marriage Sonia would meet Inder for a coffee now and then.

Sonia visited Bali after a year of marriage to be with her parents and spent one whole day with Ben to feel the warmth of his unconditional and open love. Ben gave her complete freedom in her life and would give her the best advice which was never taken. He always reminded her that the mind suffers if it doesn't follow the heart because the mind is not looking for lasting joy and it attracts you towards immediate pleasures which are invariably followed by pain. The heart, on the other hand, suffers if the mind doesn't follow it because it is blind to immediate dangers and the mind sees the immediate surroundings to navigate through them. The blind heart can even get you killed in order to be with it's love, for the heart is not concerned with material loss or gain but the alert and intelligent mind wants to live a material life and can save your life. So, let the heart always be in command to set the goals and let the mind be the chauffeur to get you to your desires safely.

Sonia went back to Jakarta after a month in Bali, renewed and rejuvenated. Her husband Omar was waiting for her at the airport with a bouquet of flowers and they hugged each other like long lost lovers. Everything was like heaven with Omar taking her out for a candlelight dinner and the next day to a discotheque and the third day he cooked her a wonderful meal. They made love for three days but the fourth day there was an argument and he slapped her hard. Sonia cried and walked out of the house. She called Inder who came immediately and took her for a drive. He caressed and consoled her till she became calm and composed. Then he drove her back to her house, kissed her on her forehead and they decided to meet the next afternoon at Inder's flat.

Sonia called Ben on the phone and told her story which he listened to patiently. She said that she was falling in love with Inder but was scared. Ben told her that the fear of falling in love is the fear of getting hurt in love, when you open your heart and make it vulnerable! This is an unnecessary suffering. Don't judge the pain of getting hurt as ''bad'' because it is through breaks in the heart that more love flows and heals. Love never fails in what it sets out to do... Love only changes it's course when it's through! Love is always there, flowing like a river across eternity!

Finally, Sonia was convinced that she had to divorce Omar and be with Inder but not marry him!
